Fist Bumps Around Admin: Seton Hill Breaks Guinness World Record

For 994 feet, a serpentine line of 473 students, faculty, staff and community members formed on the Admin Lawn with a purpose: Exchange fist bumps to break a Guinness World Record and bring awareness to Sage's Army, an organization fighting drug addiction in Westmoreland County. The event, which was organized by students in a Senior Seminar Class as part of their required Social Action Project, shattered the previous Fist Bump Relay world record of 300.

From Pennsylvania to Transylvania: Seton Hill Faculty Plan Academic Session at Vampire Festival

Seton Hill faculty Michael Arnzen, Ph.D., professor of English, and Nicole Peeler, Ph.D., associate professor of English and director of the Writing Popular Fiction Program, will co-curate a session during a three-day academic conference at the The International Vampire Film and Arts Festival. The festival takes place in May 2017 within the historic citadel of Sighisoara, birthplace of Vlad Dracula.

New and Improved: Seton Hill Reopens Renovated Bookstore
 
The Seton Hill University Bookstore, now managed by Barnes and Noble College, held a grand reopening celebration on October 21. The bookstore, which remains in Sullivan Hall, underwent renovations to make the space more inviting to students, parents and alumni alike. You can also visit the bookstore online to buy Seton Hill apparel and sign up for discounts and other promotions.

Born to Ride: Seton Hill Equestrian Team Tops in Region
 
The Seton Hill Equestrian Team recently recorded their third straight win, putting them atop the regional standings ahead of their rival, West Virginia University. The team's last fall competition takes place November 12 at the Clarion Meet.
