Please join us at the Seton Hill men's soccer home game on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. to celebrate the life of Bovey Masiole Balyesele '13, MBA '14 as Seton Hill plays against Slippery Rock. There will be a reception following the game in the Greensburg Room, adjacent to Lowe Dining Hall.
Bovey believed in the power of education. His dreams of attending college in the United States took him from the rural town of Mwanza, Tanzania to Greensburg, Pennsylvania. He came to Seton Hill University in the fall of 2009 with a bright future, one bag, and no winter coat. As he adjusted to life in the U.S., the Seton Hill faculty, staff, and students became his family. He succeeded in the classroom and on the soccer field, receiving his undergraduate degree in marketing, human resources management and entrepreneurial studies in 2013 and his MBA in 2014. After Seton Hill, he found success in his career and his family life, welcoming two children with his wife Kathryn before his cancer diagnosis.
