Seton Hill University Model United Nations
Seton Hill University's Award-Winning Model United Nations (MUN) team will be preparing all year (Fall-Spring 2023-24) to represent the country of Indonesia at the upcoming MUN Conference at UN Headquarters in New York City in April 2024. SHU MUN students are concerned about global issues of social justice and are eager to—in the words of Seton Hill’s mission—transform the world. The MUN program is advised by Dr. O'Dell, Associate Professor and Program Coordinator for Political Science and Global Studies.
Attending an MUN conference with college students across the country challenges the students to engage in constructive debate about world problems such as humanitarian crises, reducing pollution and building sustainable infrastructure, improving access to water resources, reducing disease incidence, or eliminating poverty. The year-long training, and the 4-day intensive conference, allows students to learn about and practice negotiation and diplomacy, and to work on collaborative solutions to global problems.
We have already begun to raise funds for this project, but we cannot do it alone. It is our greatest hope that you will consider a sponsorship at any level. Your generous commitment will make a meaningful difference in the lives of Seton Hill students.
