Seton Hill University Mission
Seton Hill is a Catholic university rooted in Judeo-Christian values. In the tradition of Elizabeth Ann Seton, we educate students to think and act critically, creatively, and ethically as productive members of society committed to transforming the world.
Seton Hill University Alumni Association Mission
To further the principal objectives of Seton Hill University, to support the legacy of the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill, and to foster ongoing active relationships among graduates, former and current students, members of the faculty and friends of the University.

President, SHU Alumni Association
Dear Seton Hill Alumni,
It is a tremendous privilege for me, on behalf of the Alumni Association and the entire alumni community, to extend a warm welcome to Seton Hill University’s tenth President, Dr. Mary Finger. I know all of us look forward to working with Dr. Finger in the months and years ahead as we continue to build programming and engage alumni and friends in the life of our alma mater in new ways.
I am pleased to tell you about activities that are happening through the efforts of the Alumni Association and our many Seton Hill alumni volunteers. In December, Seton Hill hosted alumni and their families for the annual Lunch with Santa. This day was filled with smiles and holiday cheer for everyone. The Alumni Association next hosted a festive Christmas on the Hill celebration in the beautifully decorated Lowe Dining Hall with music, dancing, great food and fellowship. What wonderful ways to enjoy the Christmas season and bring in the New Year! Photographs from these events may be viewed at alumni.setonhill.edu/eventphotos.
To kick off Spring, the Alumni Association hosted a Mindfulness Workshop at The Seton Hill University Center for Family Therapy for students, faculty, and staff with guest speaker and distinguished alumna Dr. Krista Boyer. In April, alumni collaborated with the Seton Hill Student Activities Council and participated as “dealers” for a fun Night at the Casino for students. Additional events held with students included the SHU Steamers coffee shop event and the second annual Spring Hot Dog Roast for undergraduates. Throughout the summer months we have activities beginning with Alumni Weekend on June 6-8, 2014 and followed by the In Your Write Mind writer’s workshop on June 26-29, 2014, planned by the Seton Hill Writing Popular Fiction graduate program alumni.
The SHU Alumni Association Board welcomes you to all Seton Hill activities and programs. Alumni events may be found at alumni.setonhill.edu/events. If you are considering a music or theatre production at the SHU Performing Arts Center in downtown Greensburg, check out the box office at setonhill.edu/tickets. If you have an interest in volunteering your time with the Alumni Association, please check the web at alumni.setonhill.edu/volunteer to indicate how you want to be involved or send me an email. The athletics activities are online too at setonhill.edu/athletics.
Thanks for your continuing interest in Seton Hill. Hazard Yet Forward!
